- Backlog Status: Approximately 20 sheets in Genevieve’s possession plus ~100 samples need to be delivered to campus
- Scanning Workflow: Brianna will take over scanning responsibilities from Nora
- Coordinate Addition: Critical issue identified - coordinates from Survey123 must be manually added to sheets before scanning
- Training: Nora will provide instructions to Brianna showing coordinate locations in Survey123
48.3.2 Survey123 Data Entry Progress
- 2024 Data: 59 pedons still need entry (25 not started, 7 on hold, 16 in progress, 9 ready for export)
- Processing Time: 1.5-2 hours per sheet depending on complexity (redox, carbonate content)
- Artifact Data Issues: Ongoing troubleshooting with NASIS database - artifact volume data not transferring properly from Survey123
48.3.3 Technical Issues with Artifact Data
- Problem identified where artifact percentages appear in comments rather than volume columns
- Patty Burns working with John Hammerly (NASAIS expert) to resolve transfer issues
- Recommendation: Ensure artifact volume percentages are in correct column, minimize special characters in notes

- Safety Protocol: Label bags containing glass fragments to prevent injury
- Field Protocol: Remove large glass pieces when possible, include small fragments when representative
- Lab Processing: Ava will separate obvious artifacts when weighing washed course fragments
- Documentation: Note glass presence on artifact sheets and consider adding to regular description sheets
